The prolific Til Kerlen is an accomplished music producer from Berlin, also working for & with film makers, ballets and a variety of other performance artists. Under the name Dieb he produces his most ornate and most dancefloor-friendly material; characterized by an elegant experimental style of house with an ambient edge to it.
With the 3 electronic compositions on this concept e.p., Til Kerlen shows that, while only making minimal modifications on each track, he can totally change the general atmospherics, indicating a love for soul, snaps, squelches, pops, and burps, which push even further and wipe away that oft-considered divide between music forms intended for home listening and the dancefloor.
Icing on the cake is the final and 4th track, a warm and inviting remix by David Labeij of Dieb’s earlier work, making this release a mindbending and most enjoyable document -- a truly must-have for fans of the form.
